Grayphics was officially founded in the spring of 1988 as a desktop publishing business. Due to the influx of home based computer operators doing ''design'', desktop publishing ultimately became a relatively frowned upon term in the graphics community and Grayphics distanced itself from its use in early 1990s.

Olive Street Table company came to Grayphics with a shrinkwrapped pizza-like product with a slapped on black and white sticker. They proceeded to tell us what they wanted designed, which we did, BUT we knew that what we came up with would serve them better. With the release of OUR designed boxes, they ended up in dozens of markets virtually overnight!

Vehicle wraps come in all shapes and sizes. They are a remarkable form of advertising in a local market. A comprehensive study was performed by the Traffic Audit Bureau (TAB), an independent non-profit organization that authenticates the circulation of out-of-home advertising and it was discovered that:

Printing onto a surface, any surface, has always been at the heart of our business. "Whether a line of type, or the side of a building..." has been a catch phrase for decades. We've been making good on that goal; and with dye sublimation we've become quite comfortable printing coffee mugs, water bottles, bags and travel cups.

Web design and hosting has changed a lot since we first began in 1995. As you can see from this site, we still do it, and do it fairly well. The site and its elements were developed by Grayphics founder Tim Gray and hosted by us as well.
